Have you spent time in West Midtown lately?

Whether you are new to Atlanta or a seasoned resident, West Midtown deserves your attention.

West Midtown, also known as the Westside, is experiencing some amazing growth and transformation.  With new restaurants, nightlife, parks, and modern residential properties it’s no wonder Atlantans are flocking to this part of town.

In this post, I will share with you some of my favorite places in West Midtown as well as some new real estate construction that deserves your attention.

EXPLORING THE WESTSIDE

Food

Eight Sushi Lounge – This is the perfect date night spot for sushi lovers. The beautifully presented sushi has both traditional and creative sushi dishes, it can’t be missed.

Antico – Need a pizza night? Antico is one of the best wood-fired pizzas in Atlanta. This Italian family-run pizzeria is known for its award-winning pizzas with perfectly blistered crusts.

The Optimist – The Optimist is well established in Atlanta, in fact, it’s been awarded one of Esquire magazine’s best restaurants in the country!  It is still one of my go-to restaurants for casual fine dining. Excellent seafood and wonderful service.

Little Trouble – How about some cocktails? Little trouble has some cool blade runner inspired retro vibes in its neon-lit lounge. Head here to enjoy great cocktails and some Asian inspired bites.

Entertainment

Kai Lin Art – Visit this award-winning contemporary art gallery with new exhibits every 6-8 weeks featuring many local artists.

King Plow Arts Center – look for some of your favorite music passing through this industrial-inspired venue.  The venue is just the right size for more intimate concert settings.

Luxury Condos

The Atlantic – these luxury high-rise condos have a premium location with easy accessibility to the Westside, Midtown and Atlantic Station.  Additionally, the resort-style amenities can’t be beaten with features like valet parking, luxury pool, and state-of-the-art fitness center.

White Provision Residences – located in the Westside provisions district, these luxury condos are great if you want to have access to dining and retail right below you.  Home to Atlanta staples like JCT kitchen and Sid Mashburn clothing. Some of the awesome amenities include a rooftop pool and guest suites.

Allied factory lofts – These modern industrial lofts are renovated in an old Standard Oil building.  Using a blend of new and original materials give these lofts tons of character and unique design.

New developments

Seven88 West Midtown – this is the first ultra-luxury condo tower is West Midtown, the 22 story development is scheduled to be complete in October 2020 and according to Curbed ATL, it is almost 50% sold.  There are 20 different floor plans ranging from 699 sq ft to 2,800 sq ft.  Amenities will include a concierge, a dog spa, bike storage, fitness and yoga facilities, a saltwater swimming pool with views, and a lounge with billiards.

Westside Quarry Park – The Blank Foundation recently donated $17 Million to boost the development of this Westside park which will soon be the cities largest public green space.  The first phase of the park will be over 280 acres of trails and greenspace. It will eventually connect to the beltline trail. I believe this park will be a huge boost for the Westside and launch real estate growth similar to Midtown.
